The following terms and conditions represent the basis upon which training is offered by 1nfluence Driver Training Ltd. By accepting driver training with 1nfluence Driver Training Ltd, the driver is agreeing to these.

Your trainer abides by a Professional Code of Practice. You can find details here – http://www.gov.uk/adi-voluntary-code-of -practice

Tuition is only available if:

• You’re aged 17 or over, or aged 16 or over and receive the higher rate of Disability Living Allowance (mobility component),
• hold a valid UK driving licence.
• you satisfy the requirements of medical fitness to drive, including compliance with the regulations for eyesight.
• you are legally entitled to drive in the UK.

Your trainer will carry the appropriate motor insurance to provide comprehensive cover should you be involved in a collision as a driver, whilst in control of driving their tuition vehicle.

The use of the driver’s own car is at their own risk. Your trainer will not be held responsibile for any damage or accident, whether that is caused by the driver or not.

The car must be:

• legally roadworthy, taxed, insured and with a valid MOT where appropriate.
• insured for the use of the trainer to give professional tuition and confirmed in writing.

Prior to your first lesson you must present your 1nfluence trainer with the code necessary for them to check your driving licence. They will give you the details necessary to do this. They may also need to check it periodically throughout your tuition period.
You must notify your trainer of any matters which affect your ability or entitlement to drive.

It is the driver’s responsibility to ensure they are fit to drive. The driver must ensure they do not drive under the influence of drink or drugs. Be aware that some prescription and over the counter medicines can cause drowsiness.

As a new client securing a regular ongoing slot, the first payment is due on booking…….. following that, any training must be paid for at least 3 full working days before the start of the lesson.

You can use one of the following methods:

• Payment by bank transfer direct to 1nfluence Driver Training Ltd. Details on request.
• Payment by 1nfluence gift voucher.

Please be aware that cash in the car is not an acceptable method of payment.

The price of lessons will be agreed before tuition begins and will remain throughout the period of regular tuition. Where training ceases for a period of 3 months, price increases will be taken into account.
The cost of pre-paid tuition is based on the lesson price at the time of booking and, except for the circumstances below, will be honoured for 12 months afterwards – irrespective of any price increase that may occur between the date of booking and when the lessons are taken.

If you or your trainer want to cancel a lesson, a minimum of 24 hours’ prior notice should be given. If your instructor cancels a lesson without giving this, they’ll rearrange the lesson. Cancellations made by you must be given directly between you and your instructor by text or phone call to 07780708706. If you don’t give this notice of cancellation, you’ll be charged for the lessons concerned in full.

In the event of you having booked your driving test, the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) requires you to give three clear working days to cancel your test. Failure to do this will mean that you will lose your DVSA test fee.

You can cancel your pre-paid tuition at any time (see ’Cancellation of lessons’ above). If you haven’t taken any lessons at the time of cancellation, you’ll be entitled to a full refund subject to these points:

• Refunds may take up to 10 working days to reach you or your account,
• Refund of partial block bookings will be made pro rata on any lessons not taken.

You cannot sell or transfer lessons which have been purchased in your name to any other person.

Your trainer reserves the right to refuse the use of their car for a practical driving test, if the driver has not reached a sufficient level of competence.

Practical driving tests will be arranged by your trainer once agreement is reached regarding your readiness for test. No responsibility can be taken by 1nfluence Driver Training Ltd for tests booked when the instructor is not available.
Your trainer cannot be help responsible for test appointments cancelled by the DVSA due bad weather, sickness, staff shortages or other reasons. Such cancellations are beyond our control and therefore lesson fees will still be charged.

1nfluence Driver Training are committed to providing you a website that is accessible to the widest possible audiences, including those with sight, audio and motor impairment restrictions. Specifically:

We aim to use a web font so all text is easy to read.

  • We have appropriate ALT tags for images to convey information for people with images switched off, or who use a screen reader.
  • We ensure that navigation through our websites works in a consistent way.
  • We do not rely on just colour as the only way of giving information.
  • We avoid the use of images of text wherever possible, and provide equivalent text links.
  • The site uses Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to control all of the presentation and layout.

The content has been written and formatted to make it as accessible as possible. For example:

  • Headings highlight sections of text.
  • Sentences are short with the meaning at the beginning.
  • We try to ensure that link text makes sense out of context and that it accurately describes the page to which it points.
  • Forms can be navigated using the tab key.
